How to Send Your Items to Winkel Kids

  • All sellers must be pre-approved by Winkel Kids.
  • You can send items to our business premises or request a collection via email.
  • We accept designer or premium baby, boys, and girls’ clothing (newborn to 12 years), shoes, and accessories. Items should have originally retailed for at least $40 AUD.
  • Pre-worn items must be in pristine condition. Unworn items must have original tags. We reserve the right to refuse service at any time.

Curating Stock

  • All pre-worn items are checked for wear, stains, and suitability.
  • Rejected items are donated to charity unless you request their return(return fees apply, please check with us).
  • Pre-worn items are cleaned unless already cleaned with proof provided.

Consignment Process

  • We offer a “We Do It For You” (WeDIFY) consignment service. Items are listed for a minimum of 4 weeks, but we do not guarantee sales.
  • Items are professionally photographed, described, and promoted on our website and social media. At times we also undertake pop-up events to showcase your items.
  • You’re encouraged to share your listings with your network - promote your listings by encouraging your friends and family to visit our online store and spread the word through your social networks.
  • We may return items at any time. Items must be clean and in good condition; cleaning costs are deducted from your payment if needed.

Liability

  • Winkel Kids is not responsible for damage, theft, or loss of items while in our possession.
  • To collect your items during the consignment period (minimum 4 weeks), provide 72 hours’ notice.

Pricing

  • Sellers receive 50% of the sale price (minus any cleaning costs), or 60% as store credit.
  • We price items based on demand, condition, brand, and market trends, usually at 55% off retail for pre-loved (up to 80% for some items), and 30% past-season (items not worn before and with tags).
  • You will be asked to confirm prices by email.
  • Prices may be reduced over time if items do not sell. Items found to be damaged or stained will be removed from sale, and you’ll be notified.

Promotions

  • We may offer customers discounts (10–20%) for promotions or minor faults. These discounts are deducted from Winkel Kids’ share, not the seller’s.
  • If an item doesn’t meet our standards, it will be cleaned or returned to you.

Payment

  • Sales proceeds are paid monthly by bank transfer when your balance exceeds $100. Payments are made 4–8 weeks after sale to allow for
    returns.
  • At the end of your sales period, you can collect, arrange postage (at your cost), or donate unsold items to charity. Uncollected items after 2 months become property of Winkel Kids.

Statements

  • Sellers receive quarterly statements showing inventory, sales, remaining items, payouts, and donations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure your contact and item information is accurate before submitting items.

Service Availability

  • Services may be withdrawn or amended without notice. We may restrict access to registered users as needed.
